alpha moms

here's to moms who don't apologize for bringing store bought treats to a playgroup, who let their kids watch t.v and play wii, who accept their inability to be a gourmet cook and who don't sweat it if they're little squirt isn't the worlds greatest athlete.

in other news: the tulips are starting to sprout their sweet little heads and my dads yard is full of purple crocuses. we should be dying our annual festive easter eggs some time this week in preperation for a big back yard easter egg hunt saturday. and that is something to look forward too. :)

update: i apologize. this sounds incredibly judgemental so i deleted it.

No, it just sounds like a rant.

Yay for rants!

whatever, you totally get all dressed in formal wear when you pick up Cody. I believe you had on 5 inch heels just the other day.

ewww, "room moms" were legendary in our house growing up. You know they only sign up to do that so that their kid will be the teacher's pet.

oh, i wish you could sit in my van with me to pick up julia! it is seriously the best people watching ever!! i had one of these mom's ask if julia could have a playdate at the park. of course i came as well with my two other children. it was the most awkward afternoon of my life(i'll have to blog about it). anyway, first thing she said while wearing her $300 jeans, "the first time i saw julia and how cute she was dressed i thought, my daughter is going to be friends with her!" i was so gagged out by the comment i have never instigated a playgroup since. nasty room parents!

rocia, that is disgusting. I wouldn't want to have a playdate with them either.

Well I was going to say how refreshing and well-said this whole post was until I read Arah's comment that you are that mom. :)

j/k

Please please please come to my house and stay. It would be MY dream come true. :)

P.S.
I can't imagine a place where YOU are not the most beautiful envied mother of the entire school. That kind of place must be super scary.

WOW! Am I ever grateful for the chance to live in Newport. Those things are NEVER an issue. If I was picking up a child at Cody's school I would probably look like white trash. Yikes. It is a sad world sometimes. I loved this post by the way. I never knew you were so verbose. Impressive!
