high rollers

so cody got a birthday invitation yesterday from a friend at school. it read:

*chris is 6!
*come to his bithday party
*3-6pm
*limo will pick kids up from school
and take them to wonderland. (a local kid fun center)

good grief! he's in kindergarten!! what happened to pinatas and birthday cake? those kids are sure going to be dissapointed when cody had his birthday. i'm not one of those moms who is big on chucky cheese style birthdays.

update: so cody went ot the birthday party. i showed up early because i intended on driving him myself, but then i saw the whole class lined up to go and decided he would be fine. when the limo showed up it was like the super deluxe hummer-style-extenda-version. it made me laugh.

That is officially dirty. You better believe I make up games in our w/t back yard that's not landscaped and have the kids eat pizza. A LIMO?! That is so funny.

wow I can't believe a limo. Do kids that age even care? Or know what a limo is? I would have more fun playing games and eating cake.

wow. that is ridiculous.

Julie, Cody goes to school with a bunch of parents that have to out-do eachother. Brinley's birthday will consist of a cake, a game or craft, and that is about it.
They should have more fun playing with each other than their parents trying to make some big extravagent event. SO STUPID!

HAHA.. that cracks me up! We are very low key over here .. Jordan doesn't even let me get helium balloons because they are too expensive!

um, sick, what kind of kid are they trying to raise? What are they going to do on his sixteenth birthday if he gets a limo on his
6th? I'm all about the homemade parties, they're the most fun anyway!

That is too funny! I am with you on this. I was just talking with my boss, who is the school psychologist and she was telling me about this new place in our county that would be a great b-day party place..."yeah, it would probably only be like $150 bucks, rahter than $300 if you were to feed everyone at your own house"...she was saying. I was like yeah, right! Birthday parties at our house are first of all, pot-luck and we do some cake and ice cream, and call it good! People are so funny! I will let you know when I am in town and we can all get together, that would be so fun!

Did Cody end up going? If he did you should put up another post as to how it went!

Oh these poor guilt ridden parents! They probably are divorced and are trying to out-do the other parent...all while the kid is suffering because he just wants some one on one time with mom and dad! Hey, what happened to your dark hair by the way(I saw arah's pics)?
