spring break in seattle

i had some business to take care of in seattle. since it was spring break, arah mom & the kidlets came too. it was fun. i love seattle.

i have never expereienced ikea, so arah introduced us.

the kids loved just about everything.

chefs cody & brinley:

i want to build a mini office like this in my dream kitchen (maybe this year or next...)

i fell in love with this red couch. i've always wanted a big squishy red couch.

the kids thought the funny seats were great... and had to test out each one.

we stayed with brian and becca.it was nice to spend some time with them. becca let the girls spend a day out of school with us.

paying dress up at a vintage shop:

manequins:

originally we planned to take the kids to the zoo, but it was pretty chilly so we settled for the science museum instead. it was a short walk through downtown.....

stop for a breather....

at the museum: trees...

earth...

cody's favorite the mini pod space shuttle...

with real working stuff....

giant checkers (we kept waiting for the giant chess game but someone was hogging them.....oh, well.)

brian and becca have a beautiful, huge piece of property jsut a little north of seattle. thorny blackberries grow out of control wild with all of the moisture and many people keep goats to help keep them under control. brian's friend found this one for them: blackberry is her name.

cody loved they huge yard....

hmmm. what for lunch....

on the way home we stopped at a little gas station that had this cute tractor and little race car. the kids couldn't resist....ya, that says hooker....

the end.
