ready for take off.
this track was seriously high tech. computerized and the whole nine yards. whatever happened to eyeballing it at the finish line? they race 3 times each and get an average speed score. cody won his first 2 races with the fastest speeds.
grandpa and dad trying to be humble while waiting for the 3rd race and final scores.

then a few days later another bird got in, through the fireplace. we still have a few things we haven't gotten around to doing to it after we remodeled it last spring. guess we better get on that. merv climbed up on the roof and found a woodpecker pecking a huge hole through the mesh cover....

he originally wanted cody and brinley to do the running/hunting, but he's down to the wire on this project, brinley wasn't here and cody wasn't cooperating 100% so i helped out not only with the dinosaur hunting but with the photoshopping. ya i know, super high end fashion modeling here... i wasn't super thrilled about stepping into do it last minute with the 1 month post baby blubber physique, but cody loves his mama & thought it was pretty rad anyway.

making funny faces..
and crossing her eyes...
cody loves to haul her around the house... even if it scares the crap out of grandma. (this is a big deal to a 6 year old to be able to stand up AND hold the baby at the same time...)
late night brother sister chats...
...and then the teachers set up a "dinoasur museum" with all of the kids projects and completed activities. co cute!! cody was very proud of himself. i love kid art.
thats a handmade palentologist hat that he's wearing....
i fell in love with this self portrait on the wall. hopefully it comes home at the end of the year.
... and friday the school had the annual carnival-
and check out this poor girls hair... i bet she didn't realize she'd be coated in cotton candy fuzz when she signed up to volunteer....
...uncle matt went to this same school and says back in his day, the carnival came with "real" rides out in the parking lot.
