3 things.

first-ish: our baby sleeps good.
i nearly had a heart attack when the baby slept for 7 hours straight! she woke up right before mervs alarm clock around 4:30am... i felt so refreshed after getting so many hours of uninterupred sleep and i'm sure she did to. she must have known i really needed it. thank you baby. you are super cute, we love you and we are very blessed to have such a content, pleasant girl.

second-ish:cody is in love with monopoly!!
i LOVED this game growing up. my broher and sisters and i would play it endlessly. literally. we would start a game that never ended because we were constantly making up new rules and bailing each other out of forclosures and bankruptcy....we would start a game on friday after school and play until sunday night. i bought cody the starwars version at christmas because he's all about all things starwars, hoping to spark some interest and we finally played this past sunday afternoon, just the 3 of us. we ended up cutting it off after 3 hours due to bed time. he hasn't stopped talking about it since. i have to explain to him that its a special type game. not an everyday type. i am so thrilled to have another game player. i'm always the annoying one during the holidays trying to convince someone to start a game of risk or monopoly....

seen here playing jedi warrior in the background...

(oh, and by the way: at the dentist last week the xray showed his big teeth just about to come through. hes been complaing of sore teeth in front. finally about to loose his first teeth. i was thinking the baby teeth are looking extra tiny.... he was sure the day would never come. sorry son, your just a late bloomer just like your mom and dad.)
& thirdish: my husband rocks.
my funny, cute and talented husband's fun little side project band- the crickets of cascadia, was featured in the local weekly magazine, the inlander that came out tonight.(...thanks for the tip shannon....) we were both a little surprised because it's the band that he has spent the least amount of effort with. seriously just a small project that he plays in with a few friends a couple of times a month. however they are super awesome. definitely my favorite music of the bands he's played with this far. :)

baby dress.

i meant to do this before now...but life is busy. anyway, this is a picture of me with me siblings (minus kami) when i was 6 days old. my mom was a good mommy and saved that little dress for me so i wanted to put it on lola. it barely fit her 2 month old chubby body, but she cooporated anyway. :)

the end.

free stuff is good.

i have to say that this weeks itunes free song of the week is pretty much rad... "walking on a dream" by empire of the sun. it's a perfect song to run to(or jog to...). i threw it on my ipod when i went running this morning to check it out and ended up loving it. i must have replayed it about 5 times. i'm trying to create my perfect running playlist for bloomsday which is coming up this weekend. yikes! (ps. if you live in the area and you've never tried bloomsday you should consider running this. its a blast.)

this song however is the lamest song i've heard in quite a while...
"dont think i can't love you" by jake owen. it makes me puke.

any suggestions for running music or just plain old work out tunes?....

merv is 35 today.

happy birthday old man. don't worry, i'll be 30 in july and then we can both be old together.

easter goat.

every year the easter rabbit brings my kids easter goodies in sand buckets for some reason... i think its because he knows that i don't like storing easter baskets and sand buckets are just so darn useful. cody was pretty stoked with his loot and lola really loves her goat toy. she still hasn't outgrown her goat noises shes been making since birth...

right after cody opened his basket, he checked to see if there were any eggs in the yard. there weren't. oops. however, i was pretty certain that there were going to be eggs in grandmas back yard later that afternoon.

and for the record:
in the middle of all the easter festivities, our little neighbor girl had a birthday party. her mom is way cooler than cody's mom. she had pony rides at her party. right here on our street.

...and yes, my boy insists on wearing his hood under his hat. he always does this with his hats. when i pick him up from school it never fails that he will have his hat over the top of his hood. awesome.

easter eggs.

every year we boil a ton of eggs and the kids are usually done after like 3 and then arah and i end up dying the rest... which we don't mind at all. (...in fact i think i might like it more than the kids.) but this year i think we could have given them 3 dozen a peice. they loved it!! i'll remember that next year. even though you can only eat so many boiled eggs and deviled eggs and egg salad sandwiches...
